| What projects or schemes are you interested in? |
We want to review the current provision of initiatives and schemes in Hampshire that enhance people’s health and wellbeing through contact with the natural environment.
Targeting
We are particularly interested in projects that make some sort of explicit link between nature and health or wellbeing in its aims, objectives or activities.
Targeting of specific groups in health terms (for example targeting mental health) is also relevant as are formal links with health providers and services.
Relevant activities
Schemes that enhance or enable access to the ‘natural’ environment, by doing exercise, voluntary work, gardening, outdoor activities or simply providing views of nature are all potentially relevant activities. For example, Healthy Walks are relevant projects. |
| Will anything happen as a result? |
We hope this work will help people working in this area to share information more easily about what they are doing and what works best.
We are inviting everyone involved in relevant schemes or initiatives to join us in a workshop to explore their work together, especially to look at challenges, gaps and opportunities.
Bringing people together offers the prospect of a community of interest growing from this audit that could support future work.
If, as we expect, we identify gaps and opportunities, the audit will form the basis for plans to develop schemes and initiatives in the future. |
